Give the gift of music.
Play it forward...
MCMC accepts donations of new and gently-used band and orchestral instruments in playable and good condition. These instruments will be refurbished and sent to school music programs. We also accept any new or gently-used accesories – bows, shoulder rests, tuners, music stands, rock stops, etc.
Please complete and include our Instrument Donation Form in the instrument case or shipping box. Be sure to make a copy of the completed form for your records, as the current estimated value of the instrument placed by you will serve as your receipt for tax purposes. A professional appraisal will need to be provided to us for any instrument valued over $5,000. For more information, visit the IRS Publication 561, Determining the Value of Donated Property.
We always like to know the history of the instrument and how you decided to donate it to us, so if you like, please include that as well. If you have any questions, please give us a call or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
String instruments include the violin, viola, cello, bass, harp, and guitar.
Percussion instruments include drums, cymbals, triangles, chimes, tam-tams, glockenspiels, timpani, bells, and xylophones.
Woodwind instruments include flute, piccolo, clarinet, recorder, bassoon, and oboe.
